Addressing the Needs of Our Aging Population
- There is a pressing need for specialized, coordinated care.
- Saratoga County is home to approximately 47,500 people aged 65 and older.
- Between 2011-2021, Saratoga County experienced more than a 50% increase in its population aged 65 and older, marking the second-highest growth rate in this demographic statewide.
- From 2021 – 2023, there were an average of: 1,663 Emergency Department visits 1,013 hospitalizations
- Over 19% of the population for the county is 65 and above.
